The names are drawn from the publications that rank in the top one per cent by citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science\u2122 citation index.<\/p>\n<p>According to Clarivate, Highly Cited Researchers contribute disproportionately to extending the frontiers of knowledge and innovations that make the world healthier, richer, more sustainable and more secure.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the latest listing, Professor Teo Kie Leong, Dean of CDE said, \u201cThe presence of many CDE faculty among the world\u2019s most highly-cited researchers\u00a0reflects\u00a0the College\u2019s enduring influence, rigorous scholarship and\u00a0 real-world impact. Their achievements demonstrate the strength of NUS\u2019 research and its role in inspiring positive change globally.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For the 2025 list, worldwide a total of 6,868 researchers from 61 countries and regions have been named Highly Cited Researchers.<\/p>\n<p>David Pendlebury, Head of Research Analysis at the Institute for Scientific Information at Clarivate, said, \u201cThe Highly Cited Researchers list identifies and celebrates exceptional individual researchers at NUS who demonstrate significant and broad influence in their fields. They exemplify excellence in their research as well as integrity in their publication and citation practices.
