The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>National University of Singapore has\u00a0<\/span>retained\u00a0<\/span>the top position<\/span>\u00a0in this year\u2019s\u00a0<\/span><\/span>QS World University Rankings<\/span> Asia<\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2022 QS World University Rankings Asia are now live, with the\u00a0<\/span>National University of Singapore\u00a0(NUS)\u00a0maintaining a tight grip on\u00a0the top spot for\u00a0the fourth\u00a0year running.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year,\u00a0the university\u00a0has\u00a0been awarded\u00a0perfect scores\u00a0for its academic reputation,\u00a0for\u00a0its\u00a0proportion\u00a0of\u00a0international faculty and\u00a0for the extent\u00a0of its\u00a0research\u00a0collaboration\u00a0with institutions across the\u00a0globe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NUS\u00a0also achieved a near\u00a0perfect score for its\u00a0reputation among international employers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Peking University increased its standing by an impressive five positions: from seventh in 2021 to second in this year\u2019s rankings.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The institution\u00a0received\u00a0perfect scores for academic reputation, as well as its\u00a0ranking\u00a0among employers and\u00a0proportion of students participating in outbound exchange programmes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Scoring\u00a0joint third this year is Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and\u00a0the University of Hong Kong, who both received perfect\u00a0results\u00a0for their international faculty, as well as\u00a0for\u00a0their\u00a0proportion of inbound and outbound exchange students.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

However, when it\u00a0came\u00a0to the proportion of staff with PhD\u2019s,\u00a0the universities differed\u00a0drastically, with Nanyang Technological University receiving a score of\u00a059.5\u00a0for this\u00a0indicator\u00a0and the University of Hong Kong\u00a0achieving\u00a096.4.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In fifth position,\u00a0falling\u00a0three\u00a0places\u00a0from the previous year,\u00a0is\u00a0Tsinghua University in China, which\u00a0ranked highly in both employer and academic\u00a0reputation.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In\u00a0respective\u00a0sixth and seventh positions\u00a0in this year\u2019s\u00a0<\/span>rankings\u00a0are\u00a0<\/span>Zhejiang University and Fudan University, China\u2013\u00a0both receiving\u00a0a score of 99.1 for their reputation among employers and perfect scores for international faculty and\u00a0proportion\u00a0of\u00a0inbound\u00a0exchange\u00a0students.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, climbed one position to eighth\u00a0this year, receiving\u00a0a\u00a0high\u00a0score for its international research network.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In ninth position this year is the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology\u00a0and in tenth position is\u00a0Shanghai Jiao Tong University.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology received perfect scores for several\u00a0metrics\u00a0including its outbound and inbound exchange, international\u00a0faculty and number of citations per faculty.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Shanghai Jiao Tong University\u00a0received a\u00a0high\u00a0score of 98.7 in employer reputation and 98 for inbound exchange.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The top ten universities in the\u00a0<\/span>2022 QS World University Rankings Asia are:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1)\u00a0National University of Singapore<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2)\u00a0Peking University<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3 = Nanyang Technological University<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3 = The University of Hong Kong<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4)\u00a0Nanyang Technological University<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5)\u00a0Tsinghua University<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

6)\u00a0Zhejiang University\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

7)\u00a0Fudan University<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

8)\u00a0Universiti Malaya<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9)\u00a0Hong Kong University of Science and Technology\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

10)\u00a0Shanghai Jiao Tong University<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
