Join our faculty!\n\t<\/h3>\n\t<p>The Department of Materials Science &amp; Engineering at NUS has close to 30 full-time faculty members and over 80 research staff members. The University and our outstanding department have been consistently ranked among the top in the world in a variety of international rankings with copious contributions and breakthrough achievements in areas of research, education and innovation &#8211; clinching numerous national and international awards and recognitions. We have been pursuing cutting-edge research in Advanced Manufacturing, Bio-inspired Materials, Edge Computing and Computational Material Sciences, and have been recognized worldwide as a premier MSE department centred in Asia. In 2019, five MSE members were recognized among the world&#8217;s most highly cited researchers, whose research in one or more fields have consistently supported and inspired other researchers globally (Clarivate Analytics, 2019). In addition to research, we were ranked as the Top 4 department in Asia for Teaching (Times Higher Education 2020).
