SDE Updates on 1 July 2021

As part of NUS' continuous efforts to enhance interdisciplinary learning and research, the School of Design and Environment has been making changes to strengthen itself for the future.

We would like to share the following updates that will take effect from 1 July 2021:

  1. "Department of Building" to be renamed as "Department of the Built Environment" (DBE)
    This change reflects the expansion of academic pursuits beyond buildings to encompass various affiliated aspects of the built environment sector within an integrated educational platform.

  1. Integration of the "Department of Real Estate" (DRE) into NUS Business School
    This development enables DRE to leverage the synergies between Real Estate and Business to strengthen its offerings of broad-based, multi-disciplinary education and research, as well as enhance its professional training in Real Estate.
