Centre for Energy Research and Technology (CERT)

The Centre for Energy Research & Technology (CERT) is a research centre of the NUS Faculty of Engineering. CERT was established in September 2014 to integrate science, technology and policy to develop low carbon energy system solutions/initiatives that address Singapore’s energy challenges. The Centre works closely with the industry and national agencies on energy technologies of local and regional interest, and to introduce the technologies developed at NUS to the market. The Centre focuses on four core areas: (1) Energy Storage; (2) Energy Efficiency; (3) Smart Grid; and (4) Natural Gas, for energy technology development in Singapore where we can deliver the greatest impact.
