Tong Shanshan is a senior research fellow in the area of urban built environment and building envelope performance. She received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technology University, Singapore and joined NUS as a research fellow in 2015.
Her research interests include microclimate monitoring, urban climatic mapping, thermal comfort, and passive building design. She has participated in several research projects on mitigating the UHI in urban context and improving the energy efficiency of tropical buildings.
