Author: CHRISTOPHER CHUA, EUGENE SIM, JANELLE TAN

Conventional double-skinned facades often consist of independent exterior and interior layers whereby there is more emphasis on external layer to provide appropriate climatic response.

Compared to these conventions, the authors design an envelope to bridge gap between the two layers. An interplay between layers brings about multiple opportunities to manipulate the wind and rain. The design approach investigates sublime and palpable effects of the skies and translates them into an experiential envelope.
