Gao Ming is a Ph.D. candidate at the School of Architecture, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), where he also earned his master’s degree in Landscape Architecture. His research interests are diverse, encompassing outdoor thermal comfort, the influence of urban green spaces on mental health, and the cognitive psychology of the environment.
Throughout his academic journey, Gao Ming has embraced an interdisciplinary approach, integrating concepts from behavioral psychology, geography, public health, statistics, and experimental methods into his studies. He has also ventured into the realm of emerging technologies, utilizing machine learning and data mining to investigate their potential in addressing challenges related to urban green spaces. A central theme of his research is the promotion of human mental health, with a particular focus on understanding how the built environment affects human well-being.
