Gulin YAZICIOGLU
Industrial Ph.D student
Gulin Yazicioglu is an industrial Ph.D. candidate in Landscape Architecture and Planning at the University of Copenhagen, in collaboration with Henning Larsen Architects in Denmark. Her research focuses on mitigating urban heat islands to create more livable cities. She uses sensor-based weather data to identify urban heat island patterns and integrates nature-based stormwater management solutions as a strategy for urban cooling. Building on these insights, she also plans to explore how mitigation solutions intersect with the 15-minute city concept in the context of urban heat under climate change.
