Xiang Yang is a doctoral candidate specializing in Landscape Architecture at Huazhong Agricultural University in China. His ongoing research primarily centers on blue-green infrastructure, land surface temperatures, aerosol optical depth, heat risks, and the optimization of landscape patterns. Encompassing various scales, his investigations extend to urban agglomerations, cities, and neighborhoods. He aims to employ methodologies involving big data and remote sensing to address prevalent environmental issues within urban areas. His ultimate objective is to skillfully integrate pertinent theories from ecology and geography to strategically plan and optimize the configuration of urban blue-green-grey infrastructure. Presently, he serves as a Joint Ph.D. student in Prof. Yuan Chao’s laboratory at the School of Design and Environment (SDE), National University of Singapore (NUS).
