Like a satellite city of its own, “://YIH2030_ The New Pilot City; a makers’ plantation & a creator’s playground” renders a new institutional archetype of a self-sustaining living ecosystemic infrastructure that aims to reimagine and redefine the perimeters of what sets a student-centric facility to be. Manifested within its architectural expression, the scheme postulates an alternative landscape, one that not only challenges the altered site through its built form and employed gestures, but also in its abilities to induce the spirit of empowerment & hybrid crosscollaboration between the different student bodies through a strategic play in its internal & programmatic choreography. As it draws focus around the provision of creative-oriented programmes such as makerspaces & artisan studios, the newly envisioned hub thus hopes to be able to initiate conversations & dialogues that aims to propagate the notion of holistic growth & exploration of students in a trajectory that questions and reinvents the concepts of ‘play’ in an institutionalized environment. And through such processes of procurement, become a revitalized emblem and platform of student – centricity.
