Prof Thomas Kong was interviewed by Lianhe Zaobao regarding his research project on “Social Curating and Archiving: From Personal Possessions to Public Legacy in Whampoa”

Social Curating and Archiving: From Personal Possessions to Public Legacy in Whampoa is a two-year research project supported by the National Heritage Board research grant. The project aims to examine curating and archiving as social practices to support the formation of a public legacy through the sharing, learning, exchange and renewal of an elder’s personal collection on a digital platform, a film and a symposium. Multi-agential in its reach and multidisciplinary in its approaches, the research team is led by Ar Thomas Kong (NUS), Dr Lilian Chee (NUS) and Peter Chen (NTU).
