Celebrating women in engineering

The NUS Faculty of Engineering’s inaugural “Women in NUS Engineering” event saw a line-up of celebrated guest speakers; including CEO of Temasek Holdings Ms Ho Ching, Chairman of Shell Companies in Singapore Ms Aw Kah Peng, Senior Vice President of SkyLab Services Ms Eng Se-Hsieng, and Senior Manager of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology Ms Wan Siew Ping, and Guest-of-Honour and Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, who joined via video.
The NUS Faculty of Engineering’s inaugural “Women in NUS Engineering” event saw a line-up of celebrated guest speakers; including CEO of Temasek Holdings Ms Ho Ching, Chairman of Shell Companies in Singapore Ms Aw Kah Peng, Senior Vice President of SkyLab Services Ms Eng Se-Hsieng, and Senior Manager of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology Ms Wan Siew Ping, and Guest-of-Honour and Minister for Social and Family Development, Mr Masagos Zulkifli, who joined via video.

NUS Engineering organised the "Women in NUS Engineering" event on Wednesday, September 8th, a hybrid live and online webinar event that brought together several of our most distinguished Engineering alumni to share their experiences with fellow alumni, NUS staff and students.

Guest of Honour Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Minister for Social and Family Development (Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award Winner) gave the keynote speech opening the event.

This was followed by sharing of personal stories and a panel discussion featuring outstanding women alumni:

  • Ms Ho Ching, CEO Temasek Holdings (Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award Winner)
  • Ms Aw Kah Peng, Chairman, Shell Companies in Singapore (Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award Winner)
  • Ms Wan Siew Ping, Senior Manager, Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (Engineering Alumni Service Honours Recipient)
  • Ms Eng Se-Hsieng, Senior Vice-President, Business Development, Skylab Services Pte Ltd (Outstanding Engineering Young Alumni Award Winner)
