Assoc Professor Gurusamy Mohan
Dr. Gurusamy Mohan, a Ph.D. graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2000, is an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, where he has been since June 2000. Currently, he also serves as the Associate Head overseeing Graduate Programmes and Continuing Education and Training (CET). He has significant editorial experience, including roles with IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing and serving on the boards of the Computer Networks and Photonic Network Communications journals. His conference leadership includes co-chairing IEEE GLOBECOM 2019 and IEEE ICC 2008. Dr. Mohan's expertise spans Computer Networks, Internet of Things, 5G Networks, Software Defined Networks, Network Function Virtualization, Cloud Computing, and Optical Networks. Recognized for his educational contributions, he received the NUS Teaching Commendation Award in 2002. Dr. Mohan is a prolific writer with over 220 publications, including books and book chapters primarily focused on optical networks.
