Humans are complex existential beings. Are everyday products matching up to our real and complex needs?

Through designing for the irrational and paranoid personalities, this series of wastebins challenges the impoverished norm set by existing everyday products in this modern world.

Base on the phenomena related to privacy, hygiene and digital hoarding, these extreme secure spaces hope to let audiences ponder their insecure behaviour and the role products play in their everyday life.

RINGS

The work piece, akin to tree rings, honors the age of memories pertaining to Singapore former national stadium. The use of chromatography with the essence extracted from the stadium’s bench wood portrays the flow of memories which radiates from its core and remain deeply rooted despite the gradual reduction over time.

As commissioned by NUS, the same technique has been used to create rings from different trees found in the campus.

OSIM: uKnead

Uknead combines adaptability, portability and comfort into a hand and forearm massager.

Incorporated with rotational massaging mechanism, it offers kneading action to the muscles. With a loop and adjustable strap designed for a fitting wear, it can be worn on different hand areas or used as a wrist rest while using the computer, allowing busy office workers to relief their discomfort during and after work. It has a removable sleeve for the ease of cleaning and maintenance.

Bronchoscopy simulator

Bronchoscopy simulator helps resident doctors in their training of endoscopy technique and visualisation of the inner airways for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes with the use of a bronchoscope. The simulator is designed to provide a more tactile experience and an overall hoslitic training for the users.
