"I like how people try to define design but it keeps creeping beyond those parameters. This is what I'm steeped in - a dimension that evolves and only expands, effectively shaping the depth and broadness of what I absorb, process and contribute. I appreciate how this irrepressible nature of design allows me to do what the mathematical society does not - to only give one correct answer."

Priya: the food-carrier for India

With India as the target market, an enhanced eating experience is achieved through an origami-esque divider-system which allows wet and dry dishes to be separated and kept fresh during transportation. The tastefulness of eating with one's hand truly peaks as the carrier seamlessly unfolds, to offer the boundary-free mingling of curries and rice.

Designed with Brian Kennedy, in collaboration with World Kitchen
Winner, World Kitchen Project Collaboration 2012

The origami inspired divider-system leverages upon the flexibility of co-injected TPE with the structural integrity of PP.

The inner TPE layer affords a more sensual eating experience with the hand, and also facilitates easy cleaning.

Endearment: a table piece

Staying close to the brand values and identity of Risis, the essence of Asian heritage and symbolism was extracted, culminating in this 24k gold-plated lotus leaf table piece. The qualities of the lotus plant – poise, humility and tranquility – are embodied in the gentle undulation of the stalk and leaf, as they cradle the warmth of a candle.

Quotation Adhesive Tapes

After the hype and roar of the Olympic games have passed, what remains are the words of the athletes. Inspired by the power of words and their ability to strengthen, and express the Olympic spirit, a souvenir immortalizing the inspirational quotes of great athletes manifests in a set of commemorative adhesive tapes.
