Unlike existing dry powder inhalers, puffi is specifically designed for children in terms of ergonomics and function, requiring less strength and coordination to operate. This is achieved through the use of a simple pressure pump, regulator system as well as a proprietary drug aerosolization chamber.

Puffi utilizes its pump action body to store compressed air in its air flow chamber, to be expelled at inhalation.

The parts of Puff were developed with simple snap on assembly.

A high turbulence air-flow chamber was developed through computational fluid dynamics simulations.
