Having to attend repetitive rounds of physiotherapy is a physically and mentally draining experience for stroke patients, which tends to deplete the little motivation they have left to complete their exercises. Thus Oni seeks to gamify therapy to engage patients and improve the quality of exercises performed.
Each controller is programmed to recognise a different movement, including pouring, shaking, and spreading — common gestures used everyday requiring quality of grasp.
