Glo :

Illuminating Young Minds

Designed by : Jeraldine Boh

Under the Supervision of Senior Lecturer Donn Koh.

Featuring a sequin-embellished glove and a light device, GLO stimulates a child’s imagination as they explore the beautiful patterns that appear around the room. The intuitiveness of GLO makes it suitable for free play, but parents can choose to engage their child with guiding prompts in GLO’s Starter Kit.

Different arrangements of reflective surfaces were explored to find the most suitable medium for children to explore light reflections.
The archetype of a glove was chosen due to the flexibility of the hand and its ability to engage children.

From a handheld light wand to an attachable light device onto a wrist strap, numerous rounds of user testing and iterations were carried out to determine the final form of the light source for GLO.
