The Ying Collection is a set of tableware designed to magnify dishes in the Chinese cuisine, promoting abundance which the Chinese value. The collection embraces the Asian diet of eating less staples for health benefits and the social etiquette of not taking too much or too little in Chinese communal dining.
Ying Collection magnifies the pleasure gained from the sharing of dishes in contemporary modern Chinese restaurants.
The tableware individualises one’s experience of sharing in a communal setting, with the personal mirror also acting as a concealment.
The mirror blends in without rice, forms a heap of rice when filled and later serves to amplify the dishes.
The tableware collection is formed by continuous curves, elegant at different angles.
