For a product that improves air quality, air purifiers ironically leave a heavy carbon footprint. Thus, we wondered if we could reduce this by designing around the functionality as an aesthetic. We redesigned around two of the most common household air purifiers in the market.

Aro’s filter pattern design is strong enough to hold itself yet compress easily for transportation and disposal. This additionally serves as a visual indicator for filter change as well as intuitively proves effectiveness.

Mul is a shapeless water-based air purifier that removes conventional outer casings to save material and transport costs. Its minimal design elevates whichever vessel it is placed in, allowing users to personalise it to their taste.
