CNA Women featuring NUS Industrial Design graduate Bei Ning Koh

Bei Ning’s device, named Rollo, topped its crowdfunding goal and is currently in production to bring Rollo to the world

A spotlight on innovative eczema care

Bei Ning Koh, NUS Division of Industrial Design graduate of 2022, turned her personal struggle with eczema into a mission. Inspired by her own experience, Bei Ning embarked on the rollerball itch relief project as part of her final year thesis, earning it a spot as an international finalist for the prestigious James Dyson Award in 2022.

Following graduation, Bei Ning continued to work on the device, named Rollo, at the Design Incubation Centre, affiliated with NUS Division of Industrial Design at College Design of Engineering. Rollo recently surpassed its crowdfunding goal, raising over S$100,000 from nearly 1,000 backers. The first production Rollos are set to be shipped to backers in early 2024, with plans to open online orders thereafter.
