Joyful Experiences in Design and Interaction (JEDI) Lab
The Joyful Experiences in Design and Interaction (JEDI) Lab explores how technology can enrich everyday life. We combine design and research to envision and design technologies that foster joy, reflection, and well-being by addressing uncertainty and complex sociotechnical challenges. Our work focuses on sociotechnical systems, ethical and value-sensitive design, and speculative approaches to support individuals and communities while advancing social innovation. Through these efforts, we contribute to research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), and social computing, reimagining how technologies can enable more thoughtful, resilient, and joyful ways of living, learning, working, and caring.
