The Soft Technologies Lab adopts a transdisciplinary approach to designing and developing soft systems across scales, shaping future objects, wearables, environments, and the interactions between them. We advance fabrication techniques, hardware systems, and algorithmic developments that propel soft materials and soft computing technologies, while uncovering new insights, creating novel experiences, and driving transformative, translational innovations that connect and disrupt various fields. Our work spans diverse applications including health and well-being, human–computer interaction, interactive arts, architecture, and beyond.
