Student Life at DID
At Industrial Design, we believe student life is about more than academic success — it’s about creating an environment where you can thrive personally, socially, and professionally.
Our Student Life initiatives are thoughtfully crafted to support your growth both in and beyond the studio. Whether you’re looking for wellness support, career guidance, a space to recharge, or opportunities to lead and connect — we’ve got you covered.
From fun activities and wellness support to leadership opportunities at ID Club, this is your space to grow, connect, lead, and belong.
Student Wellness
University life can be both exciting and overwhelming. Prioritising your well-being is key to thriving — in your studies and beyond. These resources are free and open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Regular/Past Events

Freshmen Orientation Camp
Industrial Design’s Orientation Camp is held annually before the start of a new Academic Year. It welcomes incoming students with an array of fun activities across the SDE and wider NUS campus to get to know the school, ID curriculum, and fellow incoming friends. Being ID students, our camp boasts creative games, activities that will definitely involve your hands and crafting, and exclusive camp merchandise designed by our Orientation Committee Members from the Year 2 cohorts.
Check out our Instagram for past photos and updates!

Welfare Goodie Bags
ID students may not have many exams, but our crunch time during project submissions hits hard! For this, ID club has prepared welfare packs stuffed with snacks and amenities to fuel each ID student through their final push.
In our last welfare pack giveaways, our mascot was inspired by the viral Smiski figurines!

Semester Events: ID goes Hiking
Marking off our first Semester Event, ID club has organised a morning hike at the Southern Ridges to catch a breath of fresh air and appreciating nature before our semester starts. It is a great opportunity for the whole ID community to come together, and can serve as a follow-up for the Year 1s to get to know more seniors beyond the Year 2s that guided their Orientation!
