FAQ
Graduate phase
Will students still be awarded the B.Eng. degree at the end of 3 years if they do not wish to pursue graduate studies? Will there be any penalty?
Students will be awarded the B.Eng. degree at the end of 3 years if they have fulfilled all programme requirements. If E-Scholars have a good reason not to pursue graduate studies, there will be no penalty.
Can I choose any Master's degree in NUS?
The E-Scholars scholarship will cover tuition fees for any M.Sc (Master of Science) & M.Eng (Master of Engineering) degree in NUS engineering departments for one year.
Can I choose an M. Eng (Master of Engineering) degree?
Yes, but M. Eng degrees normally take 2 years to complete. E-Scholars can still enrol, but the scholarship will end after their first year (3 years undergraduate plus 1 year of Master). Students will then need to find alternative means to fund their second year of Master.
Can E-Scholars choose to do a Master's overseas?
Yes. However, the scholarship will not cover such case and the scholarship will be terminated when the student leaves NUS. The E-Scholars office will be glad to provide administrative assistance in the form of reference letters to E-Scholars who wish to pursue a Master's overseas.
