Will I be recognised if I am on the E-Scholars Programme? Will it be reflected on my transcript?
Your transcript will not reflect that you were an E-Scholar. Instead, you will receive a separate certificate for successful completion under the E-Scholars Programme.
Would the College be separating E-Scholars from mainstream students right from Year 1?
NUS Engineering curriculum structure is modular and not all students from the same cohort of the same discipline will always have classes together. E-Scholars are no different, although the majority of their courses that they would be taking from year 1 onwards would not be coherent with other students admitted within the same year.
Could you elaborate more about the extra-curricular programmes that E-Scholars will be exposed to?
E-Scholars can participate in extra-curricular programmes available to all NUS students. Being the cream of the crop, they should in fact show initiative in participating in such Programmes. Interaction with key professionals, including seminar and discussions, and visits to their companies may be arranged.
Does the E-scholars programme have accreditation from the Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB)?
E-Scholars will fulfill the same degree requirements and will obtain the same B.Eng degree as other Engineering students. All B.Eng degrees offered by NUS are accredited by EAB, hence the degree that E-Scholars will obtain is also accredited.
