FAQ
Graduate phase
Will students still be awarded the degree at the end of their undergraduate studies if they do not wish to pursue graduate studies? Will there be any penalty?
Students will be awarded the B.Eng. degree at the end of 3 years if they have fulfilled all programme requirements.
If E-Scholars or D-Scholars - Architecture have a good reason not to pursue graduate studies, there will be no penalty.
Can I choose any Master's degree in NUS?
The E-Scholars scholarship will cover tuition fees for any M.Sc (Master of Science) & M.Eng (Master of Engineering) degree in NUS engineering departments for one year.
The D-Scholars - Architecture scholarship will cover tuition fees for Master of Architecture for one year.
Can E-Scholars choose an M. Eng (Master of Engineering) degree?
Yes, but M. Eng degrees normally take 2 years to complete. E-Scholars can still enrol, but the scholarship will end after their first year (3 years undergraduate plus 1 year of Master). Students will then need to find alternative means to fund their second year of Master.
Can D-Scholars - Architecture and E-Scholars choose to do a Master's overseas?
Yes. However, the scholarship will not cover such case and the scholarship will be terminated when the student leaves NUS. The D&E-Scholars office will be glad to provide administrative assistance in the form of reference letters to D-Scholars - Architecture and E-Scholars who wish to pursue a Master's overseas.
