Dr. Sangit Sasidhar is a Senior Lecturer with the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sardar Vallabhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, Gujarat, India in 2007 and Ph.D in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2013.
He enjoys teaching courses related to signals, programming, embedded systems and power systems. His research interests are in biomedical embedded systems, signal processing, power systems and pattern recognition. He also likes to explore the use of technology for teaching and focusses on bringing authentic learning to the classrooms using experiential and project-based learning pedagogies. He was the winner of the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award in 2018, has been awarded the Faculty Commendation List for teaching in 2016 and 2017 and the Faculty Honour’s List for teaching in 2018. He has also awarded the Innovative Teaching Award (Gold) by the Faculty in 2018. He is a member of the IEEE, and a reviewer for several leading international journals and conferences.
