NUS CDE Scholarships and financial aid

FOR PHD ONLY

President’s Graduate Fellowship

• Up to S$4,800 monthly
• One-time research allowance
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond

NUS ASEAN Research Scholarship

• Up to S$3,000 monthly before PhD Qualifying Examination (PQE)
• With top-up to S$3,500 after passing PQE
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond.
(For International Students from ASEAN Countries only)

AI Singapore Scholarship

• A competitive stipend of up to S$6,700 monthly, on top of other allowances and full tuition fees, support up to four years of studies at Singapore-based AUs
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond

Integrative Sciences and Engineering

• Trans-disciplinary PhD research only
• Up to S$4,800 monthly
• One-time research allowance
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond

NUSRI-affiliated PhD Programme (NUS Suzhou Research Institute)

• Up to S$3,800 monthly before PQE
• With top-up to S$4,300 after passing PQE
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond

A*STAR Graduate Scholarship

4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond
Other allowances including

• Conference allowance

Support for up to 12 months of overseas attachment

NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (GRTII)-Affiliated PhD Programme

• Up to S$3,800 monthly before PQE
• With top-up to S$4,300 after passing PQE
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy
• Sign a service agreement (underwritten by a guarantor) to serve 2-year service bond in Huangpu District of Guangzhou after graduation.

NUS Chongqing Research Institute Scholarship

• Up to S$3,800 monthly before PQE
• With top-up to S$4,300 after passing PQE
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy
• Sign a service bond agreement to work for at least 2 years in Liangjiang New Area of Chongqing upon graduation. Scholars may be self-employed, employed under government agencies or any business entities, or continue research work in research institutions, such as the NUS Research Institute (Chongqing).

FOR PHD AND MASTER’S (BY RESEARCH)

NUS Research Scholarship 

• Up to S$3,800 monthly before PhD Qualifying Examination (PQE)
• With top-up to S$4,300 monthly after passing PQE
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond
(The main focus of the College is the PhD programme. Priority for the competitive NUS Research Scholarship will be given to the applicants for the full-time PhD programme) 

Commonwealth Scholarship 

• Up to S$3,000 monthly before PQE
• With top-up to S$3,500 after passing PQE
• 4-year tuition fee subsidy, no bond
(for nationals from Commonwealth countries, except Singapore Citizens / Singapore Permanent Residents) 

FOR MASTER OF ENGINEERING

Hermes-Epitek Innovation Scholarship

  • Up to S$3,500 monthly stipend
  • 2-year tuition fee subsidy

To be eligible, applicants must be Singapore Citizen, with a thesis topic preferably specialising in Scanning Electron Microscope in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Material Science & Engineering, and Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, and pursuing the Master programme full-time.
