Walter is the Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, Institute of Engineering Leadership, Dean’s Office, College of Design and Engineering.
He was the CEO of e-Cop Pte Ltd, a regional cybersecurity company; Executive Director of New Life Community Services, a social enterprise; Senior Vice President at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore; Head of Innovation Management Office, Global Safety Division, NEC Corporation; Vice-President/Head of IDC Consulting Asia Pacific, and member of the IDC Worldwide Consulting Management Board; and Vice-President/Head of e-commerce, Singapore Airlines.
He was on the Exco of the SGTech Smart Nation Chapter and the Exco of the Singapore Computer Society AI Ethics & Governance Special Interest Group.
He had a MBA, B.Eng, and Graduate Diploma in Marketing through scholarships from Chartered Industries of Singapore Technologies and Hewlett-Packard. He received the Certification for A.I. Ethics and Governance from the Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Computer Society.
