| Vinod has over 28 years of experience as an entrepreneur and an intrapreneur having started his career at Emerson Process Management in R&D. Subsequently, he became a Product Manager for its new market leading control systems and led its rollout for Asia Pacific. In late 1999, he joined Accellion soon after it was founded. There he built and worked with a diverse team of engineers to deliver market leading secure distributed file transfer used in over 2,000 enterprises globally today. Wanting to chart his own tech path, Vinod co-founded Qryptal in 2011. Qryptal develops platforms for document security and integrity. It is currently used in over 30 countries across large enterprises, SMEs, and governments.
Leveraging on his extensive experience in leading tech innovation & entrepreneurial ventures, Vinod has developed and led unique experiential modules in IEL since its inception in 2012. Vinod leads IEL’s Enterprise Development module where graduate student teams find new market opportunities for stakeholder enterprises. Vinod also contributes to other programmes such as IEL’s TechLaunch – Take Tech to Market – module. He ran IEL’s InnoVenture module for undergraduates which equips students with skills to create value by addressing a tech problem set by stakeholder enterprises. Vinod has a Ph.D. and Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the National University of Singapore. |
