The Department boasts a wide range of the most advanced facilities for both research and teaching. In 2005, the Department received S$3.7 million Educational Funds to further upgrade the state-of-art laboratory facilities. These laboratories support most of the research and teaching activities of our undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In addition, these facilities support the three core focus of the Department, namely Infocom Technology, Biotechnology and Sustainable Energy. Also, our research resources are complemented by the facilities in other Departments and A*STAR’s research institutes through close collaborations.
