SGUnited Doctorate Apprentice (STEM) (12 months)

This position reports to Professor Ding Jun for research work in the Additive Manufacturing Lab from Materials Science & Engineering, NUS. The main responsibility of the applicant will be investigations and development novel functional materials and structures via extrusion-based 3D printing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Extrusion Based 3D printer (Allevi2, RegenHu 3DDiscovery™ Evolution)
  • 3D modelling via AutoDesk Fusion 360
  • Managing the laboratory, including safety administration, chemical purchase and chemical waste disposal
  • Data analysis and summary for reporting to the supervisor
  • Conducting research leading to scientific publications

Qualifications:

  1. Material Science & Engineering PhD
  2. Background in materials science, competency in 3D printing and associated software skills
