Internships
Internships are a key facet of our emphasis on learning by doing. Through them, you gain perspectives on real-world issues while working on real-life projects alongside engineering practitioners.
Typically in Year 3 Semester 2, you would embark on a compulsory* industrial attachment (IA) of at least 20 weeks. During your IA, you would be able read up to 2 technical electives in the evenings to fulfil your major requirements, or other evening courses to count as unrestricted elective subjected to companies’ approval.
Internship positions will be offered for your selection through an online internship portal. You may also source for your own internship opportunities with companies that are not in the portal.

* IA is optional if you are a polytechnic graduate
For NUS Overseas College (NOC) students, internship requirement is mapped to their NOC experience.
