MSE Study Award
MSE Study Award is an award to recognise outstanding academic achievements among pre-university students pursuing studies in NUS Materials Science and Engineering. We believe through financial support and mentorship, students will be empowered to develop their potential and interests so that they are fully prepared for careers in which they will push the boundaries of knowledge and contribute to breakthroughs in Materials Science and Engineering.
Eligibility Criteria
(i) NUS Materials Science and Engineering Study Award (MSE Study Award) is open to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents presenting with local qualifications.
(ii) Applicant must be matriculating in the year of the award and accept NUS Materials Science and Engineering programme offer.
(iii) Please note that NUS Materials Science and Engineering Study Award is not offered for the following group of applicants:
- Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents with international qualifications,
- International Students,
- E-scholar or the holder of any other scholarship.
(iv) Eligible applicant may be considered for the award, subject to interview requirements.
(v) NUS Materials Science and Engineering reserves the rights to change or cancel the applicant's award if applicant did not fulfil the 4 years NUS Materials Science and Engineering programme.
MSE Study Award Benefits
- Successful applicants will receive a MSE Study Award of $20,000* over their 4-year MSE course(no bonds).
- A certification of excellence.
- NUS Materials Science and Engineering ambassador.

* To obtain cash prize from the second year onwards, awardee must:
- maintain a CAP of 4 and above
- be active in the MSE community (such as MSE student club or Outreach community).
