There were so much to see and learn from understanding what a material engineer does at work. In the ever-evolving field of defence and technology, the engineers don’t just make things but they make things possible.
What our students say about their ST Engineering visit experience:
Even as materials engineers, who are trained on the same discipline. May end up doing various tasks such as quality assurance, failure analysis and materials testing etc…The applications of material science in both defence and commercial applications (e.g. transparent ceramics) & the importance of automation in the future (CS, AI, data analytics)It was interesting to see the different applications of material science engineering in the defence system field because I am not aware that it is relevant and useful in this area.There's a lot of application for Material Science in various sectors such as defence and commercial aspects. There is a lot of work that goes into the development of new materials and machines which is pretty cool stuff.
