Fresh graduates from NUS Engineering enjoyed improvements in both salary and overall employment rate in 2018, according to the Joint Graduate Employment Survey 2018 conducted by NUS and the other Autonomous Universities.
Chemical Engineering (ChE) graduates saw their gross monthly median starting salary hit $4,000, a jump of $400 from a year ago. Close behind are graduates of Computer Engineering (CEG) and Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) with gross monthly median starting salaries of $3,975 and $3,895, respectively.
As a whole, engineering graduates in Singapore commanded above average starting salaries compared with those in other tertiary courses, in a new survey that showed employment outcomes by course clusters.
