Research by Design (RxD) develops translational research approaches through creative practice with a focus on Asia. It emphasises the importance of rigorously engaging critical and creative practice in making, writing, and thinking in architecture. RxD strives for innovation and influence in the built environment through its research outcomes which include leading buildings, texts, exhibitions, installations, films, drawings, photographs, and object-making, alongside design monographs, edited volumes, and research papers. RxD establishes an architectural disposition towards the generation of knowledge, probing questions of how one comes to create knowledge through architecture, and what form of knowing that takes.
