DSO-NUS Satellite Research Centre

A joint project with the DSO National Laboratories (DSO), the Satellite Technology and Research Centre (STAR) was launched at NUS on 25 January 2018.

The state-of-the-art centre aims to develop cutting-edge capabilities in distributed satellite systems, with a focus on flying multiple small satellites in formation or a constellation.

It aims to be a leader in advanced distributed small satellite systems, and will build/fly multiple small satellites each weighing less than one tenth of conventional satellites for new applications such as collaborative sensing for the environment, more timely and scalable communication services.
