Rachel Ang
IT Strategic Partner
Rachel ANG is the IT Strategic Partner of the NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE). She leads the College’s IT functions and plays a pivotal role bridging CDE business stakeholders and NUS IT. She also leads digital transformation projects such as implementing the NUService Hub as the Enterprise Service Management platform for HR Shared Services, Finance Shared Services and Procurement Shared Services and other departments that are in the pipeline.
Rachel started her career with NUS seconded to School of Design and Environment’s IT Unit overseeing all IT strategies, IT budget planning, procurement, project and vendor management, implementations of IT projects, IT infrastructure planning and implementation as well as IT and AV support for teaching. She contributed to the successful roll-out of the university’s organisational excellence initiatives for the Dean’s Office and Departments, Project and Portfolio Management process, and One NUS-ID. She also led the electronic signature project to roll out DocuSign campus wide for NUS during the COVID pandemic and trained more than 900 staff on the initiative. She took on the IT Strategic Partner portfolio for School of Design and Environment in Jan 2019 and IT Strategic Partner for Faculty of Engineering in Sep 2021. She was also instrumental in leading the key IT aspects of the merger of the Faculty of Engineering and School of Design and Environment to form CDE.
Prior to joining NUS, she was with Hewlett Packard as the Team Leader to implement the Integrated Billing Edusave and Revenue Collections System for Ministry of Education (Finance Department) successfully. She is an experienced Project Management Professional with over 20 years of experience in IT. Her specialties include Team Leadership, Programme and Project Management, Operations Strategy and Management, Vendor Management, Client Implementations, Process/Systems Training, Business Process Reengineering, Requirements Gathering and Systems Design.
Rachel is an alumni of the National University of Singapore with BSc (Comp & Info Systems) and MTech (Software Engineering). She is also a certified Project Management Professional, and has attained Professional Scrum Master I.
