
CDE Global Fellowship Programme
Aligned with NUS’ vision to be a leading global university shaping the future, the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) is pleased to introduce the CDE Global Fellowship Programme to support talented individuals pursuing graduate coursework at CDE. Highly selective, around 80 fellowships will be awarded for the August 2025 intake.

Applications to any master’s coursework programme offered by the following programme hosts of CDE are eligible.

The CDE Global Fellowship Programme is open to all outstanding applicants who demonstrate:

• A good track record in community and societal service
Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview.
All applications for the CDE Global Fellowship must be submitted via the Graduate Admissions System. To indicate their interest, applicants are required to:
Step 1: Complete your application to the relevant master’s programme, including submission of the application and payment of the application fee.
Step 2: Indicate your interest in the fellowship under the Application Checklist page - "Supplementary Materials Checklist" section.
Step 3: Upload your CV and provide a YouTube or Bilibili video link (maximum 3 minutes) explaining why you should be selected for the fellowship.
Notes
- Application deadline: 28 Feb 2025
- For those who have applied for the master's programme, log in to GDA3 system and provide additional information.
• Fellowship recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance, without prior approval from the College.Â
• The fellowship covers the standard candidature period and is not transferable across programmes.
• CDE and the programme do not guarantee employment for fellowship recipients upon graduation.
• Should a recipient withdraw or terminate the fellowship early, the College reserves the right to reclaim all fellowship funds disbursed.
DoA Graduate Futures Fellowship
The inaugural DoA Graduate Futures Fellowship was launched on 1 October 2024 to support outstanding students from ASEAN member states who wish to pursue a professional graduate degree at the Department of Architecture, NUS.
All citizens of ASEAN member states* (excluding Singapore) who apply to designated master's by coursework programmes are automatically considered for the DoA Graduate Futures Fellowship.
* ASEAN member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
Ten Fellowships will be awarded, and each Fellowship provides 40% of full-time tuition fees per academic year.
All applications should be submitted to the Graduate Admission System. Applicants are encouraged to apply early from 1 October to 31 December 2024.
- Fellowship recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance, without prior approval from the University.
- The Fellowship will be renewed every semester provided the fellowship recipient maintains a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 (or equivalent) and has good conduct.
- The Fellowship is tenable for the normal candidature period and cannot be transferred across programmes.
- Neither NUS nor the programme guarantees and/or provides Fellowship recipients with employment upon graduation.
- If the Fellowship recipient decides to withdraw from the University and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, the University reserves the right to impose repayment of all Fellowship monies disbursed to the Fellow.
The National University of Singapore Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute (NUS GRTII), a collaboration between NUS, the People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality, and the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Administrative Committee, is the University’s flagship initiative in the Greater Bay Area.
NUS GRTII Master’s Scholarship (NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute). This merit scholarship, sponsored by the Huangpu District Government of Guangzhou, China, aims to develop talent for the Greater Bay Area of China. The Scholarship will support the students from the affiliated masters’ programmes at NUS.
Scholarship recipients are required to sign a Service Bond Agreement, with an obligation to work for at least 24 months in the Huangpu District of Guangzhou after graduation. You will have 30 months to fulfill this obligation. One award of S$45,000 toward tuition will be granted to each scholarship recipient.
