Prof Chandra Sekhar honoured with ASHRAE Fellowship Award

Professor Chandra Sekhar (Built Environment) has received the Louise and Bill Holladay Distinguished Fellow Award 2024 from The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). 

The award acknowledges outstanding contributions and is presented to an ASHRAE Fellow for continuing pre-eminence in engineering or research work, with only one award given out per year. 

An industry leader, ASHRAE is dedicated to promoting a healthy and sustainable built environment for all. Their Honours and Awards programme aims to recognise members who dedicate their time and expertise to fulfil the ASHRAE mission. Prof Sekhar received this honour at the ASHRAE Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA on 22 June 2024. 

Prof Sekhar’s research in the built environment domain relates to HVAC Systems, Thermal Comfort, Indoor Air Quality and Energy. He has more than 300 publications in international journals and conferences to date and has been an ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer since 2006.
