NUS Inaugural Full Professorship Recognition Dinner

NUS held the Inaugural Full Professorship Recognition Dinner recently to recognise 58 faculty members across nine faculties who were promoted to full professors between January 2023 and January 2025.
NUS President Tan Eng Chye said, "Let’s continue to uplift, support, and inspire one another and those around us. Together, we will advance the university’s mission to educate and inspire communities, while transforming the lives of many in Singapore and beyond."

Dr Kate Lee named in Top 50 Asia Women Tech Leaders 2025

We are delighted to share that Dr Kate Lee has been named in the Top 50 Asia Women Tech Leaders (https://asiawomentech.com/top-50-asia-women-tech-leaders-2025/). This accolade celebrates 50 exceptional women across Asia who are shaping the future of technology through their groundbreaking research, innovative projects, and influential leadership.
Dr Lee’s recognition reflects her stellar contributions to the Innovation & Design Programme (iDP), where her teaching is highly regarded, as well as her dedication to student mentoring and standout research. Her commitment to advancing STEM education continues to leave a lasting mark.
Dr Lee attended the ceremony with her family, including her mother, a paediatrician of 40 years and a key inspiration. “It was truly special to share this with my family, especially my mother,” she said. “She’s been my role model, and I hope to inspire more women in tech through my work," said Dr Lee.

Asst Prof Ming Zhao appointed to the Early Career Board of Nano Letters

Assistant Professor Ming Zhao has been appointed to the Early Career Board of Nano Letters, a prestigious journal of the American Chemical Society (ACS) dedicated to nanoscience and nanotechnology.
This competitive selection highlights Asst Prof Ming Zhao’s impactful research and leadership in the field. The Early Career Board comprises outstanding young scientists who contribute to shaping the journal’s future direction and promoting emerging voices in nanoscale research.

Asst Prof Wu Changsheng selected as the MRS Communications Early Career Distinguished Presenter

“Early Career Distinguished Presenter” is a title honoring early career presenters nominated by their symposium organisers at the MRS Spring and Fall Meetings. The title recognises important individual contributions to the field.
Assistant Professor Wu Changsheng was one of the two researchers selected by the symposium on Nanogenerators and Piezotronics at the MRS 2025 Spring Meeting.
