Each year, more than 1,200 undergraduates from the College of Design and Engineering (CDE) apply for financial aid. Despite existing government support, many students from less privileged backgrounds continue to face financial pressures alongside their academic demands. To help ease this burden, the College established the CDE Bursary in 2024 to support deserving undergraduates in need. This bursary is made possible through the combined fundraising efforts of the CDE community and its supporters, together with the wider NUS community, including the Alumni Student Advancement Committee (ASAC).
