The CDE Masters Award is extended to high calibre individuals who receive the admission offer to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS College of Design and Engineering with a common engineering major.
Eligibility Criteria
Recipients must:
- Accept the offer for a full-time undergraduate degree programme at NUS CDE with a common engineering major (i.e. Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Infrastructure and Project Management, Materials Science and Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering)
- Graduate with a degree in a NUS Engineering common admission major within the normal candidature period and attain a GPA of at least 3.5
- Meet the entry requirements for the post-graduate coursework degree programme
- Enrol into the eligible post-graduate coursework degree programme within two years of being conferred with the Bachelor of Engineering degree

Tuition fees (inclusive of prevailing GST) for an eligible post-graduate coursework degree programme
Terms & Conditions
- For double degree programme students, CDE must be the primary faculty and the minimum GPA requirement will apply to the Engineering degree.
- CDE reserves the right to terminate a student from the CDE Masters award at any time without notice if a student is found guilty of a disciplinary offence as defined under the NUS Statutes or if a student breaches any of the terms and conditions therein.
- Students admitted to the Engineering Scholars (E-Scholars) programme are not eligible for the CDE Masters award.
- Recipients can choose to enrol in their post-graduate coursework degree as either part-time or full-time students, where both options are available, within two years of being conferred with the Bachelor of Engineering degree
- Recipients may retain their eligibility for undergraduate awards and scholarships, where the terms and conditions allow.
- Recipients may not concurrently hold any other scholarship or award that includes graduate tuition fees as a benefit.
- Recipients are entirely responsible for gaining entry to the Masters programme of their choice.
- There is no obligation on the part of the recipient to undertake a Masters programme with CDE.
- The award is bond-free.
Application & Shortlisting Process
- All eligible applicants receiving an offer of admission to a CDE Engineering common admission major will be considered.
- Eligible students will be informed separately. There is no application required.
- NUS reserves the right not to give out the awards if there are no candidates of sufficient merit. The decision of the selection committee is final. Enquiries or disputes surrounding its decisions will not be entertained.
