Arthur Tay received the B.Eng (1st Hons) and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the NUS Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.

His research focuses on applying mathematical system science tools (e.g. optimisation, simulation, control and signal processing) to healthcare systems and semiconductor manufacturing. He co-founded T-Rehab Pte Ltd in 2017 to roll out tele-rehabilitation in Singapore.

He was awarded the 2015 Asian Control Conference, Best Application Paper and the 2021 Institute of Engineers Singapore Prestigious Engineering Achievement Awards 2020 for his work on Freezing of Gait Detection for Parkinson’s Disease.
