CDE Lab Tours - College of Design and Engineering

The Kent Ridge Alumni Family Day (KRAFD) themed ‘Welcome Back!’ got our participants back on NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE) campus.

For the first time, CDE opened its lab doors. The tour gave an exclusive look at the latest technologies and innovations by our brightest minds.

The CDE Lab Tour attracted many from the NUS community, from all walks of life, and of different ages, we were delighted to see everyone back and even the skies cleared up.

The participants visited several CDE labs and venues such as the Community Co-Innovation Hub (BME iHub), the Soft Robotics Lab (BME), the Centre for Water Research (CEE), MSE Labs, ChBE Labs, the Design Incubation Centre (DIC) and SDE4 (Net-Zero Energy Building). They also had the opportunity to visit our newest buildings such as SDE4, E7 and the Techno Edge Canteen.

Farhan Ikhlaque Shaikh, Programme Manager at Community Co-Innovation Hub describes the “Heighty Mighty”, a height adjustable wheelchair that is made by our students within their SGD 300 project budget as compared to the SGD 9000 wheelchairs found in the market.
