As an engaged NUS alumnus, Mr. Cheung actively supports the startup ecosystem as an angel investor, mentor and limited partner in multiple funds. His contributions to the CDE and wider NUS community include thought leadership through publications and direct mentorship of student ventures.
Mr. Lee, Managing Executive Officer of Obayashi Corporation and Head of the Asia-Pacific Regional HQ, has been a driving force behind Obayashi Singapore’s digital transformation, spearheading innovations in BIM, VDC, and IDD. Under his leadership, the company has earned accolades such as the BCA BIM Platinum Award and international recognition at Autodesk University 2023. He has also played a pivotal role in shaping Singapore’s built environment through iconic projects including Jewel Changi Airport and Bird Paradise.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Lee is deeply committed to workplace safety, talent development and community impact. As a BCA Board Member, speaker at the International Built Environment Week (IBEW) and participant in national forums, he continues to shape industry direction and policy.

Ar. Khairudin Saharom, founder of Kite Studio Architecture, is a leading architect and educator whose work spans Singapore, Malaysia, India and Cambodia. His visionary practice explores sustainable urbanism and community-oriented design, exemplified by his landmark ODOM development in Phnom Penh—a pair of 40-storey towers that reimagine high-rise living through “sky villages”, promoting vertical communal life and social cohesion.
Beyond his architectural innovations, Ar. Khairudin is deeply committed to public service and civic engagement. He has served on national panels and boards including the URA, BCA, BOA, and the Malay Heritage Foundation, and has contributed pro bono work such as illustrations for children’s health advocacy and grassroots leadership in Tampines West. Er. Teh is a trailblazer in sustainable and smart public housing at Singapore’s Housing and Development Board (HDB). Over her distinguished career, she has spearheaded initiatives such as the HDB Greenprint, Smart Urban Habitat, and SolarNova Programme—advancing green technologies, renewable energy, and digital innovation in public housing. Under her leadership, her team has delivered national-scale impact, enabling the Green Towns Programme, Tengah’s pioneering district cooling system and landmark projects such as The Pinnacle@Duxton—enhancing residents’ quality of life while advancing Singapore’s climate and sustainability goals.
As Chief Civil & Structural Engineer and Director of Engineering Services, she champions engineering excellence, drives construction productivity and resilience and nurtures the professional development of HDB’s engineers. A fervent believer in nurturing the next generation, she contributes actively to academia through the NUS CEE Industry Advisory Board, supporting research, grants, and student development.
