Ms. Chang co-founded ConcreteAI in 2022, a construction tech startup that originated from an NUS final year project and focuses on using AI and IoT to optimize concrete monitoring and improve construction productivity and sustainability. The company has won multiple innovation awards and supports key government agencies like LTA in their digital transformation efforts.
Ms. Chang actively shares knowledge at industry forums and contributes to NUS through student outreach, guest speaking, judging innovation modules, and offering internships. As CEO, she continues to lead ConcreteAI in reshaping the built environment while inspiring the next generation of tech-enabled engineers.
Mr. Lim exemplifies technopreneurship through his dual leadership roles at the moonbeam co. and Volarious. He develops upcycled food products from food processing waste, championing environmental sustainability and fostering social inclusion. He also leads innovation at Volarious in smart tethered drone systems for surveillance and emergency response, applying modularity and systems thinking to hardware design.
Committed to community impact, Mr. Lim employs and trains at-risk youth, conducts public sustainability workshops, and mentors students. At NUS, he supervises real-world design projects, offers internships through the NOC programme, and supports campus sustainability efforts through sponsorships and engagements.
Dr. Lim co-founded CRecTech, a deep-tech startup developing renewable methanol for the maritime sector, based on novel catalysts co-invented during his PhD in Chemical Engineering at NUS. With over S$1.8 million in funding secured—including a prestigious Breakthrough Energy Fellowship by Bill Gates—his startup was spotlighted by top government figures and featured in global innovation events.
A prolific researcher with more than 50 publications, Dr. Lim also mentors students, supports talent development for non-degree holders, and serves on NUS committees such as the Board of Discipline.
